Bergen County Dental Society
About The Bergen County Dental Society
Bergen County, located in the northeastern section of New Jersey, is the most populous of NJ’s twenty-one counties. True to it’s name, the Bergen County Dental Society (BCDS) is also the largest of the twelve components that comprise the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA). With over 700 members, the Bergen County Dental Society has been the local component of the NJDA and American Dental Association (ADA) since 1916 and is classified as a not-for-profit corporation.
The only component in the state of NJ to boast approval by both the American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) and the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (AGD PACE), it is clear that the BCDS places a high regard on the continuing education of all it's members.
To unite the dental practitioners in Bergen County for the purpose of advancing the art, science and ethics of dentistry, providing services and support to members, and promoting the improvement of the health of the public through comprehensive continuing education and involvement in organized dentistry.
Education is also at the forefront in the BCDS long range goals plan. The BCDS improves the lives of its members and citizens of northern New Jersey by providing accurate detailed information in a series of well-balanced topics that range through all the clinical specialties in dentistry, practice management seminars and infection control. All of the seminars are in compliance with state and federal laws -as well as those regulations recommended by professional or governmental organizations like the ADA, Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), United States Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
